As with many business we have added features as we progressed. New materials and designs. Now as we look back.  We have realized that working with the warmth of  copper is our first love. So we are now working exclusively in copper.  Same exceptional quality of material and craftsmanship. Same designs and new ones to come! To enhance our designs. Trim pieces are available in brass-zinc -steel and copper.  But regrettably we are no longer using zinc or blackened steel for our hood bodies. We look forward to hearing from you as we continue on our journey. With copper!

Having worked in architectural sheet metal for several years. Jim wanted to pursue his craft in copper. So in 2005, Jim and Pam opened Mountain Copper Creations. Jim creates rustic hand crafted copper and zinc pieces. While Pam takes care of the office. Both believe providing customer service and quality craftsmanship are a must. They work  with each client individually and listening to their specific needs. Jim is able to create custom hand crafted copper  art work. That is both functional and beautiful. With the style of the client always the main focus.

Jim is passionate about his copper art. Using a technique of firing and hand hammering. He coaxes out the magnificent colors and tones of the copper from the dark antique. To the rich spicy brown or the spectacular forest fire burnt. These colors are all created without the use of chemical patinas. Each piece is individually crafted using this method. Creating an original masterpiece that cannot be duplicated in color.Hand hammered not stamped or pressed. All of Jim’s artwork is designed to be functional. While adding rustic charm to the inside as well as outside of your home.Mountain Copper Creations does not use recycled copper material. By using 99.9 % pure  51 ounce copper material milled to our specifications. Mountain Copper Creations products are as durable as they are beautiful, providing you with years of enjoyment.
